The small town of Sant'EusaniodelSangro is between the towns of Castel Frentano, Casoli, Guardiagrele and Lanciano, framed in the South by the flow of the Sangro River, which divides it from Altino and Atessa. The origins of the ancient Monteclo are not known, although it is certain that had an important place in the fairs of Lanciano under the name Euxanum already in 165. Safer proofs appear around the middle of the 1100, when the town takes over the domination of Sanctum Eusanium. Over the centuries it was colonized by the Benedictines, it was a fief of the Abbey of San Giovanni in Venere, and ended up under the jurisdiction of the Philippine fathers of Rome. Among the illustrious palaces received up to us the most important is Palazzo De Titta, built at the behest of Cesare De Titta and intended as a House Museum. While among the religious facilities there is the 19th century neo-Gothic church of the Assunta. Descending from Sant'EusaniodelSangro it is possible to stop and walk around in the WWF Oasis of Serranella, which is shared by the municipalities of Altino and Casoli.
