The Cesare de Titta Museum-House is a liberty style villa from the beginning of the 1900s in the historic centre of Sant’Eusanio del Sangro, the birthplace of the poet and literary figure Cesare De Titta. The building named by the writer the “Cenacolo di Fiorinvalle”, was the cultural meeting place for artists and writers of Abruzzo active at the end of the 1800s and the beginning of the 1900s. Illustrious visitors to the house included: Gabriele d’Annunzio, Michetti, Spoltore, but also Pirandello and Gentile. The villa still contains the original furniture of the house, objects belonging to the poet, postcards, vintage photos and a bust of De Titta. There is also a library and a historical archive. The building develops in two levels above ground and one partially below ground level. The façade is made up of two staggered structures. The large windows of the piano nobile - noble floor - are supported by pilasters that rest on the base, beneath which a floor marking cornice is decorated with a floral pattern. A commemorative plaque located beneath the central window records the birth of Cesare De Titta. The difference in treatment of the two structures of the facade would perhaps indicate that they were from two different eras of construction.
