Welcome to Pennadomo
The town of Pennadomo stretches 11.74 km ², is located on a hill on the left side of the middle Valley of Sangro. It is a small town of medieval origin, as it is clear from documents of the time. This small village of Abruzzo in Roman times was under domination of Juvanum (current Montenerodomo), although there aren’t certain news. In the early Middle Ages belonged to various feuds, until the abolition of feudalism. In the heart of the characteristic village, there are some churches and buildings of tourist interest such as the churches of Saint Nicholas and Sant’ Anthonio Abate, or the De Ritiis palaces, unfortunately in noticeable degradation and Troilo-Valignani palace, now used as a residence. It is ideal destination for sports lovers, especially for climbing but also for nature lovers, which allows enjoying breathtaking views, with a landscape full of stone giants that form what is called the "Cliff", a tremendous attraction for sports lovers of rock climbing, but also a rare scenic beauty for tourists in general. The most important festival for the inhabitants of pennadomesi, is undoubtedly dedicated to the Patron San Lorenzo, which is celebrated on August 10.
