A visit to discover the streets, squares, alleys and districts of Tornareccio, colored by about 100 mosaics installed on the walls of the town's houses, depicting sketches by numerous authors who, starting from 2006, participate in the contemporary art exhibition "A Mosaic for Tornareccio ".
The project was devised by Alfredo Paglione, gallery owner, collector and patron, originally from Tornareccio, and over the years he became famous in Italy and around the world with his art gallery Trentadue, in the Brera district of Milan.
In each edition of the review "A Mosaic for Tornareccio", Amici del Mosaico Artistico Association entrusts the selection of artists to a curator; the authors, edition by edition, are invited by the curator to send an original sketch which is exhibited in a group exhibition throughout the summer. A popular jury and one of experts decree the winner: the following year his sketch was transformed into a mosaic by the Mosaicist Group of Ravenna by Marco Santi and installed on the town walls.
