The Church of San Biagio was built starting from the sixteenth century and was completed in 1616, as historical documents and an inscription remind and this proves that in the same year the belfry was completed. In 1965 it was scrapped for reasons of public safety, and currently there are only a few remains, which refer to the area of the apse, a portion of the facade and the bell tower. It was built in basilican style, with a nave and two side aisles and an apse.
The remaining facade, made of stone, presents on the sidelines two cantonal stone pillars as well. At its centre there is a portal surmounted by a tympanum and framed by a ovum cornice, while the at the sides there are two Corinthian columns on pedestals. Near these columns there are two half lesenes against the wall and above a frieze decorated with floral motifs and heads of angels. In the back wall of the facade there are two niches in the aisles and a few other decorative components: that's what remains of the interior of the church. On the left side of the facade stands the bell tower, divided into two levels separated by a stone stringcourse. Also the base and the remaining bell tower faces are made in blocks and stone slabs. Note an embossed emblem affixed below the first stringcourse of the same bell tower.
