The ancient village of PetraGaranzana that is the town of Pietraferrazzana, stands on a spur of rock, and appeared for the first time in a document from the 12th century, leaving us understanding its medieval origins. It was then subject to more families, until the abolition of feudalism in the early 19th century. In the small medieval village are still visible today, unfortunately, only the ruins of the ancient castle. In the 1920s became a hamlet of Colledimezzo and only from 1963 became an autonomous town. From Pietraferrazzana people can admire the picturesque panorama of the Bomba Lake.
