In 1730 in the small town of Perano the Padri Filippini built a small church dedicated to San Tomamaso and San Filippo,  on its façade there  is a commemorative stone with the dedication to the two saints and the year of construction and the name of who built it. At the beginning of the 1800s as the population of the town grew, the building was enlarged in order to house more of the faithful. The church faces onto a small Piazza. The façade includes features inspired by different styles such as baroque and neo-classical. A step is located in front of the large entrance and above it there is a niche that holds a statue of the Immaculate Conception. In line with the entrance and framed by the columns above, there is a mullioned window that illuminates the internal nave and corresponds to the space where the organ is located. The solid structure of the bell tower is located on the right. The bell tower is four storeys’ high with openings only on the last level. Beneath the tower is a doorway that leads to the lodgings of the parish priest. The interior in a classical style appears to be very sober, the ceiling is decorated with coffering in gold plaster. On the main marble altar there is a painting from 1945 that shows “the incredulity of San Tomasso”, on the sides are located two paintings showing Santa Lucia and San Sebastiano. The tabernacle depicts a classic temple with two Corinthian columns. On the left side of the nave there are altars to San Nicola di Bari and San Rocco and on the right hand side to the Immacolata. The statue of the patron saint, San Filippo is located at the entrance to the church, where originally the baptism font was situated. To the side chapel there is a chapel dedicated to the Addolorata, beneath which, is the coffin of Cristo Morto, a work of great artistic value.
